On November 11, the procedure for grain exports was significantly changed.
As of now, exports are allowed only to companies that are verified agribusiness entities and are included in the relevant list. If a company is not included in the list, it will be able to export only after obtaining a license from the Ministry of Economy. In order to obtain such a license, in addition to the standard documents, a company will have to provide proof that it is a VAT payer and that the buyer of the goods (a non-resident company) has an open bank account. The term for issuing such licenses is up to 10 days.
The government has also slightly expanded the criteria for inclusion in the list of verified exporters, providing such an opportunity also to companies that were registered as VAT payers after 23.02.2022, but only if such a company received at least UAH 40,000,000 in foreign currency earnings as a result of exports. This fact must also be confirmed by a letter from the bank.
